1985 jeep cj 7 problems

i have a 150 amc 4 cyl motor in this jeep but last time i tried to drive it i discovered it had lost power. i can start the motor just fine but when i put it in gear it doesn't have enough power to drive. i was wondering if anyone out there might know of a cure for this problem.
