Did Palin expose her Down's Syndrome child to unnecessary risk during her pregnancy?

you know what?...I am a mother to an adorable little boy who just so happens to have down syndrome. I knew ahead of time like Palin, because I opted for the amnio to be sure. I wanted to know in order to prepare myself and to learn all I could about it as well as what type of programs were available for him. we also found out through more testing that he had a congenital heart defect that would require surgery. so by us knowing ahead of time we were already in contact with specialists and surgeons who would perform his surgery once he was born...instead of being overwhelmed, fearful and confused by what was happening to our son once he was born we were confident in the knowledge that we were doing everything possible to make sure he lived and received the best care...does that make me a bad mother for choosing an amnio? I knew the risks...sometimes the risks are outweighed by the need to prepare.....
