Do you agree with these animal rights activists that calling animals "pets" is demeaning?

Oh my goodness! What little minds drum up to amuse themselves!!!!! I call my pets "animals I live with", or "my animals"...but not because I think calling them "pets" would insult them...as if they knew one word from the next. I love all creatures and wish thm all well, but this is just plain stupid!
