Why do some criticize those who "live off" welfare?

You were on it for less than a year, and you worked to get off of it...nobody is upset with you or your family and what you guys did is the intent of welfare. Congratulations on getting your family on your feet. I would be all for welfare if it was used this way by everyone, but there are people that actually LIVE off of it, for years and years....
