What do I do if I've been sick for over 2 weeks and not sure if I want to go to my doctor?

I've had a cough and stuffy nose for over 2 weeks now. Yesterday I started to get a sore throat. One of my eyes has turned red. Today it feels like my lungs are burning. I would have gone to my doctor sooner, but I really don't trust him. Twice when I went to see him he was given someone else's records. When I had what turned out to be a minor problem, he almost had me get my gall bladder taken out. I feel like he just doesn't listen to me and just wants to diagnose me as quickly as possible so he can move on to someone else. I understand being busy, but not at the expence of the patient. I would get a different doctor, but I'm on medicaid and he is the one igned to me.
