How do I find a mosque?

I live in Cleveland Ohio, and I've contacted the Imam of a particular Mosque right before Ramadan, and he seemed thrilled with the idea of having me join the Masjid. I've since tried to contact him four times via mail, and I left two messages on his voice mail. I've been in Cleveland for five years and have traveled all the way to Columbus to attend Mosque services. I've heard stories (rumors) that the Muslim religion has no use for strong women with defined personalities - and that's certainly me. Could it be...... I hope not, because I've faced enough stereo typed innuendo about my religion - the worst being the terrorist thing, and the second worst being 'the white devil' thing. Terrorism is despised by the Muslims that I know, and you'd get kicked out of the Masjid for calling any of Allah's creatures a 'devil.' Besides, about 1/4 of our congregation is white. I've cleared two of the three major stereo-typical Muslim related lies - please people - clear the third by telling me that the Imam is just busy, and that my strength as a woman probably has nothing to do with why he hasn't gotten back to me.
