How do i get my rhymes to combine good with my beats?

so im trying to make some raps and since im not the richest person in the world and i don't live near a studio when i try to combine my rhymes with beats it comes out bad i mean i can sync them up good because i have a dj software but it almost like my vocals don't sound good cause it totally sounds like i tried to do exactly what i just said and it doesn't sound professional at all... any help would be greatly appreciated
