Anti Catholics& Christians.......the Crusades?

Sorry, but the Crusades occurred when the church-sponsored knights went to Palestine and invaded it to reclaim Jerusalem from the Muslims. The defensive battles against Islam occurred in the areas around Turkey and eastern Europe and in the north of Spain. These were not Crusades, however, The title "Crusade" was only used for the taking/holding of the "holy land" and then later for the slaughter of some christians (so called "heretics") by other christians (the "orthodox" ones). Those took place in western Europe and had nothing to do with battling Muslims.
